Wanna know what's in accessory of Fall 2014? You've come to the right place! Normally we all go to the stores that are familiar to us like Urban Outfitters, Forever21 & H&M but, there are also boutiques where you can get these from. They usually range from $15-$100 depending on the quality and size of the hat. But beware of the "street fedora". Fedora's bought on from street vendors don't last as long as the ones that are store bought. Lately I've been seeing A LOT of people and fashionistas with this "it hat". Guys can rock this hat too! You can pair this hat with a casual look or you can dress it up. It's all up to what your style is.

I'm 20 years old, im from Woodbridge Virginia. Coming from the suburbs, my inspiration always came from the city, not a specific person, just the overall city. Inspiration in fashion is a beautiful thing, because there is no limit, Self expression is one of the most important outlets that we have as individuals, i wear whatever i feel. I get my inspiration from the little features that most people would look past.
I don't have an honest favorite store to shop at, i enjoy thrift shops, topman, asos, and zara. The random small hole in the wall shops are where you find the best clothing you weren't expecting to come across. My advice for fashion is like i said self expression is one of the most important outlets that we have as individuals, so express yourself. don't worry about how much your outfit cost, or if the next dude is gonna think you fly, if you like it, then wear it. Originality is becoming harder to come across, be yourself ! . Music has always been a major part of my life. Since I can remember music was always being played at my house. Whether it was Michael Jackson or Earth, Wind, and Fire it was always great vibes when the speakers were booming at my address. I wrote my first few songs when I was about 12. They weren't even rap songs, they were these really cheesy, boy-band like get ups but even then I could see my rhyming and song writing potential. A few years later when Facebook was popular I would have rap battles with other kids in my city and have our friends vote for the winner. I think I won everyone that I ever did. A close friend of mine, James (@MFSKUM), and I would sit on the phone laughing hysterically at how bad we were ripping niggas. I recorded my first song in October of 2012 (reindition of Azealia Banks' 1995) and that's where it all began. I was sixteen at the time, and known most for my photos and personality, so me rapping took a lot of people by surprise (which I looked at as a good thing). i knew it may take a while for some people to actually look at me as a hip hop artist but I was willing to face that challenge. Sixteen was a age where I didn't really know who I wanted to be around but I did know I wanted to progress with my music, and luckily I ended up around all the right people and things. I met my right hand man, Versace (@SacheeSB), a few months after recording my first track and he had to be about the chillest dude I'd ever met. We were like minded and had a common goal, making it. I live in a pretty small city so I wasn't too surprised to find that me and Sachee had mutual friends, James being one of them. Fast forward a few months into 2013, and wala the Nickel Bag Boyz were on full attack. Sachee already had developed NBB before I met him, but with our closest friends combined in a clique it only made the collective more dope. Everyone was bringing something to the table, whether it be an artistic or athletic skill (and by athletic I mean skating lol). I was motivated daily by my team to keep making and pushing my music, and that's what I did. After recording a few more singles to original beats, I met another local artist who I also had mutual friends with, K' Lee. K' Lee already had a buzz around the city for his music, so when he let me know he fucked with my music and he wanted to work together I felt beyond honored. He was not only a rapper, but also a producer and engineer. I knew he was someone that could help me take my music to the next level. We recorded Wish U Had in August of 2013, and at that point anyone who wasn't taking me seriously as a rapper was thinking twice. We continually worked together on collabs, his project, and my project. Our vibe and energy was always on the same page, so making music together seemed effortless almost. In December of 2013 I released my first project entitled Upstation. I named it Upstation because I'm from Rochester, NY which is upstate of NY. You never really hear music from anyone upstate on the radio, so this project was kind of just my way of saying "Hey, there's talent up here too". Also, every track was produced by producers in my city. So it was a completely "homemade" project. And now we're in 2014! In May Nickel Bag Boyz had their first show in Rochester and the turn out was better than expected. It was obvious we could rock a stage. Throughout this year we've done multiple other shows in our city, even getting the chance to headline some. I am currently working on a mixtape, which I plan on releasing early 2015. I am also working multiple visuals, so I'm really excited to show my fans what I've been working on and finally give them a video. My main goal as an artist is to inspire others. To be the reason other people want to make their dreams a reality would be more rewarding than anything else. I know what it's like to feel like nothing good is going to happen and I want to help kids overcome that. I don't know if I'll be like the Hollywood A-List type but I'm definitely going to be a name to know if you're talking about hip hop. You can checkout my new music, as well as my project Upstation below Hello, my Father named me Kenny Morel, but my conscious named me Kenny Bandit. I am just a 21 year old from NYC who makes what he likes. I remember the moment that I knew I wanted to make music till I die. I was 5 years old in the car with my uncle & we drove by a Biggie mural. This was right after Biggie died. I asked my uncle who that was & he told me all about Big. I wanted to be remembered on a wall after I die. Growing up I was always into all different genres of music. From Michael Jackson to Black Sabbath to Nas. I try to bring all those different creative influences to my music. Music is the only way I see my life going & trying to get me & my mom out of the bullshit life we live. Seeing my mom work late nights just to barely pay the rent motivates me even more. I'm not like these typical rappers that have a sad struggle beginning, I lived a normal life but not the life I want. Always feeling like my life is meant for so much more than a regular 9-5. I've been contemplating about my goals & what I want to accomplish, in reality I just wanna be able to do music for as long as I'm alive. Sounds cliche & corny but that's the only thing I'm passionate about. If it gets me rich & famous that's a plus. Last year in 2013 I started my own crew "BlackHillBandit$" has a outlook for my boys to let out they own creativity in other outlets besides music. Trying to inspire everyone already me to follow they dreams cause at the end of the day that's the only genuine thing we have. ALEX PHOENIX Singer/Songwriter Random Phoenix Facts: - Age: 19 Years Old - Ethnicity: Filipino, Chinese, Spaniard, and Haitian - Residency: Harlem World - Tattoos: 17 - Favorite Color: Grey I can truthfully say I started singing at the age of one. My mom would always play music around me, teach me songs and we’d just sing together. I didn’t start out knowing I wanted to be a professional singer though, I wanted to be a famous actress/Broadway actress. When I was five, I got my first acting agent (Tannen’s Talent Agency) where I booked my first Quaker Oatmeal National Commercial. I then went on to Shirley Grant Management where I booked my first Broadway debut as Young Nala in Disney’s “The Lion King” on Broadway. After that I continued with “The Lion King” National Cheetah Tour and then moved on to play Young Celie in Oprah Winfrey’s 1stNational Tour of “The Color Purple”. I was about 14 when Ireturned home from touring. I was homeschooled for all those previous years, so I thought it’d be best to just stay local in New York and go to a regular high school. I attended Ramapo High School for my freshman and sophomore year and then went on to The Professional Performing Arts High School as a musical theatre major. It was there that I started taking songwriting classes and really creating my own melodies along with some of my close friends. After I graduated PPAS, I attended Pace University as a musical theatre major. After the first semester I dropped out and decided to pursue my singing and songwriting seriously. Many people asked me why I thought it was okay to drop out of college or what am I going to do I have no plan b, but surprisingly I wasn’t scared or nervous at all for what the future would bring because I felt free to do what I wanted and what I knew would make me happy. Within the past 6 months I have been recording and creating new music, while doing shows at local venues in NYC such as The Beluga Bar and Webster Hall to name a few. I had an EP “Phoenix” set to release in October however I felt I was rushing my creative process and I have decided to push it back to next spring. I would have to say the most stressful thing about doing what I love would be making sure to remain FOCUSED in my own lane. It’s so easy to get down on yourself or over excite yourself with the people and situations surrounding you. My main goal is to have thousands…millions of people listen to my music and find a connection to it. I want my music to inspire other upcoming artists, or people going through personal problems, or people who even just love listening to pretty melodies. I want my music to affect people. H&M teamed up with the fashion designer Alexander Wang to create one of the most chic collabs yet. People either loved or hated this collection. Some said that the collection was either too basic or they loved it and was one of the best collabs H&M ever did. I personally thought the collection lacked that Wang that we all know. I expected more out of the collection but then again I have to remember that it is only H&M. I felt that he could of did without plastering his name all over almost every piece of clothing he did for this collab. But to each it's own. Earlier today I asked some of my instagram followers what they thought of the collection. Here are some of their opinions:
"The whole WANG logo thing just literally on every inch of fabric reminds me of like Aero or Hollister. I think that advertisting the logo and stuff that way is tacky looking. I honestly think the hype was because of the brand. The clothing wasn't that exciting for me, I had a lot of expectations and they were not met. There was only one thing I'd wear from that collection." "A few pieces were nice but some not so much. Looks had too much of a runway appearance for regular H&M shoppers. Most likely they'll be wearing those outfits to wack a** kickbacks in their backyards. Appreciate that Wang is trying to appeal to the less fortunate so that they can own Wang pieces, but the outcome is probably what he hasn't expected." "The idea of H&M being a retail organization of high fashion and quality making a collaboration with one of the most considerably ultimate fashion designer, that is Alexander Wang himself, is a success in its form. But obviously the more it's overrated the less it is recognized as a success but just another common type of trend." In Wang's defense though he said, "It's made to look chic but also workable for the gym." Which is the reason why for his fabric choices and the fitting of most of his garments. Living in NYC or any state that weather varies from 50 degrees to below 0, we need to bundle up but still look presentable and fashionable. This is where Infiniti scarves come in handy. Infiniti scarves are basically scarves that are connected at both ends. You can style these scarves to your comfort, whether it be hanging low or completely around your neck. These scarves can be purchased at nearly every retail store. Some are more expensive than others depending on your taste and style. This generation has grown an obsession with joggers which I am completely apart of. Joggers are both comfortable and completely fashionable. Joggers come in different designs, cuts and colors. Please remember, joggers run tight, so if you do buy joggers, be mindful of your body type. Both sets of joggers are from Zara, $40-$60. Ladies it is ok to buy Men Joggers, joggers are joggers. If you are not a fan of Zara, you can also purchase Joggers at H&M but of course, that being a different store, it will have different material and designs. Name: Erika Castro Growing up, I was never into fashion or trying on the latest trends. Once I started college, I met my best friend and she had an amazing fashion sense so it was natural to start my own kind of style. I can go from girly girl, to punk rock to office style all within one week. I definitely enjoy taking pictures all around New York City. Anything vintage calls my name. Goals: I would love to create or aid in starting a modeling agency for short girls. I am also interested in modeling for Christian based companies and sharing my love for Jesus through fashion. |
