"I'm a New York native so there are many options I could choose and many things I was exposed to. But I decided to study fashion. I love it a lot and it's fun when you can just pair things together and then change it a little bit and give it a new personality. I definitely don't have the biggest, most extravagant closet but I can make it work, which is really the meaning of style."

What made you become an artist? Artistry is common amongst my family. They played a huge role in stimulating my creativity and were always supportive of me following my passion. Whether it be drawing, performing, editing or song writing, I was exposed to all types of art growing up.

When did you know you had a gift? I knew I wanted to perform when I first saw the Lion King on Broadway at age 5. After that, I would always put theatrical shows on in my living room for family and friends. I've been writing since I was 10 but began taking the pursuit of music seriously at 14.

What inspired you? From Destiny's Child and Mariah Carey to Miles Davis and John Coltrane, I draw inspiration from literally every genre I grew up with. Even show tunes and alternative music played an influential role.

What struggles did or do you have? In this day and age, art is perceived as something that obtains immediate success. It's presented as if you don't have to do to much to get up and that's where most young artists go wrong, by only thinking about the passion and forgetting the business aspect. Confidence is important but you can't get too ahead of yourself.

What are my goals? My goals are to keep taking risks and build on material for my upcoming EP, "L$Q."

Bio: Combining melodic R&B hooks, soothing harmonies, hip-hop infused with psychedelic soul, electro-funk, and ambient trap-influenced beats, Nick Eliscu sets out to achieve an honest, unique and relatable sound. Growing up in a creative household on NYC's Upper West Side, he began the pursuit of music while attending the Professional Performing Arts High School. After the release of his pop-rock mixtape ("Making a Change,") and emergence of his alter ego, NickNasty, he started experimenting with other genres in his follow-up projects -- “Back on Track,” “XII.XXI.XII” and “Balancing Act.”

The 80's/90's fashionista/Singer/Songwriter Dasianique Briana Koll, aka "Dasiaa" is the next R&B sensation.

Growing up in the Lower East Side of Manhattan, with just my mom, uncle, grandma & I, it was pretty tough. They always used to tell me "you would always sing commercials on TV before you could speak". My mother was a singer & so was my father in their teenage years, so I already knew that it was in the blood. I've been writing songs/poetry since I was about nine years old. Unfortunately, my parents both didn't persue their dreams in becoming a singer, & instead went for business careers. Me on the other hand? I went for my dream as soon as I got the opportunity. I started off in catholic school, but I was extremely quiet about my skill, because of how brutal & judgemental I knew people would be if I told them. A lot of people didn't believe in me when I told them about what I dreamed of. By the time I had to apply for high schools, my mom thought it would be a cool idea to apply for performing arts high schools & see where it takes me, so I did & that took me to a whole new journey that I wasn't quite ready for. I finally got accepted, as a vocal major, into a school called Talent Unlimited High School in the Upper East Side of Manhattan (where Mos Def went). Throughout my four years of being there, I learned so many different techniques & qualities of a vocal major & I never thought their would be so many. From music theory to vocal warm ups, I've managed enough knowledge & got the opportunity to perform in many showcases including an opera, talent shows, concerts etc. After high school, I decided to continue my journey as a vocal major & study voice in college. I got accepted into my first choice which was the University of the Arts in Philadelphia, PA & I'm currently studying as a vocal major & a music business, entrepeneurship & technology minor. Ever since my move to Philly, I've been working & networking to get my music career started & now I'm ready to showcase who "Dasiaa" really is through my music, and what better way than to drop an EP on January 19th, 2015!!! That's right! "A Phresh Story" is my first project & I'm truely proud of the outcome. The producers/engineers, Malik Ninety Five, Justus Clarke, Dock Thomas, and more did their thing for this project and I'm really excited to drop it. As a Tribe NYC member, it's my duty to release new music! I'm only 18 so this is only the beginning of my new journey as an R&B recording artist.

As a lot of people can see I'm obsessed with Kim Kardashian West and her amazing taste in fashion. She is without a doubt my only fashion inspiration .
My fashion goal would be , being a fashion goal . I'd love to design my own clothes since I have so many different ideas in my head .
Of course I have a bunch of fashion struggles too .

It's super hard to find pants in my size . I have wide hips but not really long legs , that means there's ALWAYS a problem when I want to find the perfect jeans.
Another fashion struggle for myself would be walking in heels . I love looking classy and wearing them , I also feel comfortable but when I dance with heels on for like 3-4 hours , I literally feel dead the next day .
But I guess I should get used to wearing heels all the time since I want to be a TV host , fashion icon and designer .
My favorite shops are  Zara , Urban Outfitters , Max & Mara , Mango , Versace , Givenchy , DASH or Online Shops .

Shine in the Winter

It is often assumed that in the winter you don't have the ability to show your whole outfit, well that is a common mistake. With the right jacket, sweater/shirt and bottoms, you can show everything and still manage to stay warm.

Picture
Down jackets seem to be making an impact in the fashion world amongst this generation. Here are three down jackets that are easy to go with almost any outfit. You can never go wrong with brown, grey and especially black.
Picture
Here is a olive green down jacket with a different style than the jackets before. Although olive doesn't go with every color scheme, there are a handful full of colors you can pull this jacket off with.
Picture
With women, you can always switch an outfit up easily from wearing jeans to wearing a dress. Here we have an olive green jacket with the fur on the inside. She has her jacket opened, showing her shirt and cross necklace while still showing all of what her jacket has to offer.
